Haz and Daz in the Otways

Meet the Darriets!

Harriet and Daryl chose the very popular and beautiful beachside town of Lorne in the magnificent Otway Ranges for their celebrations, yes, you read it right, I did put celebrationS. Why not celebrate two BIG moments over a few BIG days with a whole lot of friends and family! Daryl was celebrating, let’s call it a ‘significant’ birthday, on Good Friday so it was a no-brainer to combine the two and party with their nearest and dearest over a long weekend.

Meet the Darriets!

From the get-go, Harriet and Daryl told me they were after a very low-key, relaxed ceremony and weren’t adverse to some humour being thrown in. Easy-peasey with these two: everything I suggested they loved and we hit it off straight away. I’m just sorry they couldn’t include their little fur-babies!

They chose the elegant Grand Pacific Hotel in Lorne as their venue as it ticked all their boxes:

  • they wanted a beachy ceremony and the Grand Pacific is within walking distance to the beach;

  • the views and old-world charm set the chillaxed vibe they were after; and,

  • the hotel could house alot of their guests which was important as many had travelled from overseas.

  • the reception was in the hotel’s ballroom and would be Plan B if the weather didn’t play nice.

The ceremony combined fun, laughter, a whole lotta love and a whole lot more laughter!

Harriet looked stunning in her Amaline Vitale gown and engaged an A-team of suppliers: Lyndsay from Geelong-based As Daisy Does created the florals for the arbour and bouquets, Tania from Princess Brides gave Harriet the million-dollar look, Helen and her team at HM Allure created her simple but stunningly elegant hairdo, Kelly from Giant Letter Hire wowed the reception with those giant love letters, Daz and his crew looked the part with help from Politix, and Nic from Nic Stephens Photography captured the whole shebang brilliantly!

What a wedding! We had lots of fun, laughs, happy guests and a whole lotta luv!

Congrats guys!
