Micro Weddings on The Bellarine

Since starting my business I've found that not everyone planning to get married wants the big celebration that we traditionally think of when we talk weddings. I've actually done quite a few elopement-style ceremonies and for a myriad of different reasons, some couples want a very private ceremony. It can be as small as: the couple, two witnesses and me, and then sometimes, even a few close family and friends. And that's what I call a micro wedding.

So when a photographer friend and I were having lunch a few months ago, we started tossing a few ideas around about packaging up a low-key, no-fuss, straightforward ceremony combined with a two-hour professional photo shoot. Lots of couples don't need the big wedding but would like to have a record of that special moment as a keepsake for years to come.

With both of us living here on The Bellarine and knowing so many gorgeous spots along the coast, we thought we can really offer something special. A couple can get married in a stunning environment AND take away some memorable moments.

And so Bellarine Weddings was born and our Facebook and Instagram pages provides heaps more info. If you're interested or know someone who may be interested in a micro wedding in Geelong or The Bellarine, contact me to have a chat or check out our social media.

Life just got a whole lot easier for you!

Somehow my wedding season hasn't yet finished. I've got three of my five May weddings still to go, but I've squeezed in some time to share this awesome news.

I'm so excited to be a member of the Geelong Celebrant Collective (GCC) which went public at the Geelong Brides Wedding Expo a few weeks ago! We had such an amazing response from couples and colleagues in the industry, to say we were blown away is an understatement!

But, this is why I'm thrilled to be a part of it; we are making it easier for couples looking for a celebrant. Over the years I've been told by couples that they didn't know how to find the right celebrant for them. Sure, they google and a few celebrants come up, but which one to choose. And then they contact the person who looks like they might suit them, only to find out that they aren't available. So, back to google and try again. It's got to be easier and faster than that! We've just done it!

With GCC a couple looks through the eight bios of Celebrants who live in the region and submits their ceremony date. We then do the grunt work and advise who's available on that date. The couple can then make a choice and make contact in the knowledge that they're available. It's that easy!

I'm also very proud to join forces with seven amazing women who are all dedicated to be the best they can be and thereby provide their couples with an authentic and unique ceremony that will really set the vibe for their couple's celebration. I have such a smile on my dial when writing this! I love my job and my buddies!

Please take the time to check out our website , contact us directly or refer us to anyone you know who may be in need of an awesome celebrant! TIA and hope to hear from you soon xx
